Feng Chuanliang, male, born in September 1972, professor of School of Materials Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was selected as Shanghai Distinguished Professor (Oriental Scholar) in 2010, selected as New Century Excellent Talents Program of Ministry of Education in 2009, supported by Shanghai Pujiang Talents Program in 2010.

He received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Henan Normal University from 1992 to 1996, his master's degree in Chemistry from Professor Gui Rong Qu from Henan Normal University from September, 1998 to June, 1999, and his master's degree in Chemistry from Academician Jiang Lei from Beijing Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1999 to 2001.

From 2001 to 2005, he received his PhD in Prof. G. Julius Vancso's group at Tundt University in the Netherlands. From 2006 to 2007, he conducted postdoctoral research in Prof. Wolfgang Knoll's group at Max Planck Institute for Molecular Research in Germany.

2008.01-2009.07 Research Fellow, Institute of Bio-organic Materials and Devices, University of Groningen, Netherlands, 2009.

He is employed as a professor in School of Materials Science, Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Her recent research interests include biomimetic supramolecular gel materials and biomolecular detection.

He has published 60 papers in journals such as Macromolecular Rapid Communcations, among which 55 papers have been included in SCI. He has been cited by SCI for more than 600 times. He has applied for 5 national invention patents and participated in more than 10 international academic reports.

Among them, he has made 7 invited presentations in Germany, Italy, Austria, Japan, Hungary and other international conferences.

Co-authored two books.

He has presided over, participated in and completed successively the NANONED projects in Netherlands, the Max Planck Institute projects in Germany, and the National Natural Science Foundation projects in Netherlands.

As the project leader, he is currently in charge of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 973 Subprojects, Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Medical Engineering Cross Fund, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Distinguished Researcher Launching Fund, New Young Teachers Fund for Doctoral Programs, and the Returning-Study Fund of the Ministry of Education.
