Prof. Guoqiang Tan

Guoqiang Tan is a professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT). He received his B.S. from Hunan University in 2007, and Ph.D. from BIT in 2014. He then worked as a postdoc at Argonne National Laboratory (2014–2018) and at University of California, Los Angeles (2018–2019). His research focus on the development of advanced materials and battery configurations for high-energy rechargeable batteries and the understanding of energy storage mechanisms using various in-situ tools such as in-situ electron microscopy and synchrotron X-ray based techniques. He has published 45 peer reviewed journal articles, including Nature Energy, Nature Communications, J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Adv. Energy Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Nano Lett., Nano Energy, et. al.
